Joe Sokolic, founder and CEO, has said the group is experiencing renewed public interest in large rentable space, most specifically in the Gauteng region.
“We had a bit of a slow start to the year due to a tail off in enquiries late 2009, but this year things have picked up quite considerably. We are showing a jump in enquiries for large scale Industrial space to rent, most specifically in the Gauteng Region. That said, we are also experiencing a significant upward curve for medium to large Office Space to rent in the same locations.” said Mr. Sokolic.
“Cape Town’s market has been a little slower to react, however this is also picking up speed as of the last month. This demand is showing renewed market confidence, and coupled with Landlords showing flexibility on rental prices, we expect good things from for forthcoming six months. It’s still too early to see how the recent drop in the prime lending rate in this World Cup year will affect our Commercial Property Sales, but we expect there to be a positive influence.”
Sokolic Commercial has been trading since 2005 and its figures for enquiries this year far surpass any first quarter in the preceeding 5 years. Sokolic Commercial has access to over 22 000 commercial properties countrywide.
